i38 host MW2

Tek-9.org have been following the under anticipated Modern Warfare 2 game, as announced earlier, Modern Warfare 2 will have no dedicated servers, no lean, no console, no competitive mods along with special perks being allowed. Although these problems tarnish the future of competitive play, the tournament are prepared to go ahead with the MW2 LAN.

Official announcement Multiplay.co.uk: "Today we are pleased to announce that the very first Modern Warfare 2 tournaments on the PC and Xbox 360 are to be held at i38, 13th to 16th of November at Newbury Racecourse.

Activision will not only have a huge presence in our i38 exhibition hall, but they will be bringing with them the most hotly anticipated title of the year; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The game will be available to play in all it’s glory on 24 Xbox 360s, 6 Xbox 360 pods, and 24 of the latest gaming PCs on the Activision stand, with jDome technology giving gamers 180 degree vision of the action.

Players will be able to purchase Modern Warfare 2 at i38, with EAS attendees able to pick up their copies as early as 6pm on Thursday 12th!

To celebrate the launch of one of the biggest titles this year, Activision will be sponsoring the world’s first prize tournaments for Modern Warfare 2 on both the Xbox 360 and PC, with a huge prize fund to be announced next week! Tournament sign-ups will be available from the i-Series tournament website."
